8 Foods that Your Skin is Craving

1.    Red bell peppers are fantastically high in vitamin C, which helps repair and regenerate collagen! They are also a good source of the mineral silicon, which diminishes wrinkles and makes skin more supple and youthful.

2.    Avocados’ abundant monounsaturated fats are ideal for skin rejuvenation and moisturizing from the inside out, preventing premature wrinkling. They are rich in vitamins A, C, E, and K. They contain potassium, copper and antioxidant enzymes.

3.    Spinach is an all-around beauty power food. It is rich in beta-cartene, which converts to the powerful and anti-aging, Vitamin A. This important nutrient promotes youthful skin by preventing wrinkles, and removing dead skin cells. It is also rich in Vitamin C, K, and amino acids.

4.    Watercress is a spicy member of the mustard family, and helps create glowing skin. Its pungent taste is combined with the ability to cleanse and oxygenate tissues. When your body has an increased oxygen supply, you have better blood flow and more glowing skin. It also contains vitamins A, C, and E.

5.    Sweet potatoes are an excellent starchy vegetable to include in your diet, as it contains the magical skin brightening combination of Vitamin A and C. Together, these antioxidant vitamins work to neutralize tissue-damaging free radicals. Sweet potatoes are also rich in biotin (vitamin b), which has well-known positive effects on hair and skin.

6.    Cucumbers are high in enzyme-charged water, B vitamins, nutrients and electrolytes to hydrate skin from within. The silica found in the skin of the cucumber is necessary for reaching your maximum potential for a glowing complexion. Cucumber is also found in many skincare products, and can be used directly on the skin, such as under the eyes or on cellulite.

7.    Acai is grown in only one part of the world: South America. Acai is a top antioxidant-rich fruit, with research showing that acai has 500% more antioxidants than blueberries. This makes Acai a power food for brightening dull skin. It also contains omega fatty acids that help nourish skin cells, vitamin C to brighten the skin, and Vitamin E.

8.    Almonds are a wonderful aid for dry skin, and may even be useful for other skin issues such as psoriasis. They are an extremely rich source of Vitamin E, the major antioxidant in human epidermal tissue, which creates smoothness and suppleness. Almonds contain monounsaturated fats that help soften and protect the skin. They also contain iron, potassium, manganese, magnesium, selenium, copper, and folate.
